Mandy Haring-Owner & Founder
Mandy, a native of Houston, Texas, has been deeply immersed in the world of dance since childhood. Her journey began as a former Jr. Olympic Gymnast. She spent countless summers honing her craft at the renowned Broadway Dance Center and Joffrey Ballet School.
Her dedication to dance led her to the prestigious University of Texas at Austin. During her time there, she elevated her training with performances, dancing with esteemed companies such as Ballet Austin and the San Antonio Silver Spur Dancers.
Following her academic pursuits, Mandy embarked on an illustrious career as a dance educator and entrepreneur. For 15 years, she owned and directed a highly successful dance studio, cultivating a National Champion competition team that served as a launchpad for aspiring dancers. Many of her proteges went on to join esteemed professional dance companies, grace the sidelines as Texan Cheerleaders and Rocket Power Dancers, or shine on the stage of So You Think You Can Dance.
Mandy’s passion for excellence in dance extends beyond the studio walls. As the proud director of iMpact Dance Intensive she travels throughout Texas and beyond, hosting one-day Dance & Acro intensives that focus on a multitude of techniques and genres. These events, held at multiple locations, bring in highly sought-after instructors to educate and motivate participants. The mission of iMpact Dance Intensive is to provide a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where dancers of all levels can thrive and grow.
In addition to her role at iMpact Dance Intensive, Mandy is a dedicated choreographer and educator. She conducts master classes, teacher training sessions, and studio consulting, empowering dance professionals to enhance their skills and elevate their craft. Her innovative choreography and commitment to excellence have garnered numerous accolades, including National Champion titles and perfect scores.
As a USASF coach, Mandy has achieved remarkable success, conquering the climb to the Dance Summit. Her dedication and pursuit of excellence have led to multiple champion titles at the prestigious Dance Summit, solidifying her position as one of the best in the world.
Constantly striving to improve and innovate, she pushes herself and her students to new heights. Currently, she serves as a dedicated faculty member at Dance Dynamics, where she continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of dancers as a choreographer and coach. Her commitment to offering unparalleled opportunities to her students is evident in her initiatives, such as organizing and leading a group of dancers to study at Broadway Dance Center in New York.
Mandy’s impact on the dance community extends beyond her professional achievements. She is known for her philanthropic endeavors, donating her time and expertise to various causes and providing mentorship to aspiring dancers. Many of her former students have returned to teach alongside her, a testament to the enduring influence of her mentorship and guidance.
As Mandy embarks on new endeavors, including expanding iMpact Dance Intensives internationally, starting with Australia, she remains steadfast in her mission to elevate the art of dance and empower dancers of all backgrounds to reach their full potential.
Kamryn Waldron
Kamryn Waldron is a dancer and choreographer currently studying at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas as a candidate for a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree. Over the course of her career at SHSU, she also has been a member of the Orange Pride Dance Team where she has competed and won three national titles. She has extensive training in various dance styles such as hip-hop, jazz, modern, and many more for the previous 17 years. She is presently an instructor at MC Dance, while also traveling around Texas and many other states to present choreography under the companies Trendsetters and Tribe 99. She has been working with children ages 5-18 since starting her career as a teacher and intends to bring a hard-working and positive atmosphere in every space she teaches.
Stephanie Deskins
Stephanie grew up in Friendswood, TX where she danced competitively in the all-star circuit until she was selected as a Friendswood High School Wranglerette. Stephanie was an Ensemble Member, Floor Leader and Dance Officer during her time as a Wranglerette, in addition to being very active in other extracurricular activities. She also coached tumbling and acro at a local gym while she was in high school.
After graduating, Stephanie attended Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. While at Blinn, she earned two associates degrees and was on the Blinn College Treasures Dance Team where she served as Captain her sophomore year. Stephanie was fortunate to make history as the first team from Blinn to double title at NDA College Nationals, earning her and her team 3 NDA Collegiate National Championships during her time at Blinn. Stephanie was also named a NDA All-American dancer her sophomore year at Blinn. She also began her freelance choreography career while at Blinn and was hired on as teaching staff with Crowd Pleasers Dance.
After graduating from Blinn, Stephanie transferred to Sam Houston State University. Stephanie was a two year member on the Orange Pride Dance Team where she earned two more NDA Collegiate National Championships, bringing her total ring count to five. Stephanie was also a part of the dance department at SHSU as a dance minor while she was earning her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Stephanie graduated from SHSU in December 2021 with her B.S in Kinesiology, a minor in dance, a minor in education, and all of her teaching certifications. Stephanie worked at The Woodlands Dance Center and Dance Force while she was at SHSU.
Stephanie has been fortunate to continue choreography and teaching as a freelancer and through Crowd Pleasers for over seven years. Her dance career has led her to assist with and teach for Michelle Leagans Power Intensives, iMpact Dance and Acro, Rhythm in Motion Intensives, and several other intensives and events. She has coached in the all star world and coached her teams all the way to The Dance Summit, all while working full time as an Assistant Director at a local high school. Stephanie is still working as an Assistant Director and is working as a choreographer, consultant, and acro instructor with local Houston dance studios. She feels blessed to be able to teach so often at a young age and give the gift of dance training to the next generation of dancers and athletes.
Julio Vallejo
As an individual, Julio is a talented and versatile force with a profound impact in the realms of teaching, choreography, and mentorship within the cheerleading and dance communities. His journey commenced with his education at Clear Creek High School and San Jacinto Jr College, laying the groundwork for his illustrious career.
For 13 years, Julio has called Revelution Performing Art Center his home studio, where he has honed his skills and shared his passion with countless students. His top-notch choreography has earned him acclaim and recognition, including numerous artistry awards.
Throughout his trajectory, Julio has exhibited an unwavering commitment to nurturing talent and fostering excellence among aspiring performers. His influence extends far beyond local boundaries, having left a lasting mark on numerous cheer programs and dance studios, including Infinity Cheer, University Cheer and Dance, and STEPS. Julio’s choreographic prowess has taken him across state lines and international borders, showcasing his creativity and skill on prestigious stages around the world, including in Louisiana, Mexico, and Sweden.
Notably, his dedication to inclusivity shines through in his work, evident in his collaborations and choreography for LGBTQ-focused performances. Julio’s embrace of diversity and celebration of individuality distinguish him as a compassionate and forward-thinking mentor in the arts.
In summary, Julio’s journey embodies passion, talent, and dedication, serving as an inspiration to aspiring performers and peers alike. His remarkable contributions to the cheerleading and dance communities in the genres of: acro, hip hop, jazz, lyrical and contemporary have left an enduring legacy, reflecting his unwavering commitment to excellence and inclusivity.
Melanie Hubenak
Embarking on a dance journey that transcends mere movement, I am a multi-faceted dancer and educator, deeply rooted in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Improvisation, Progressions, Leaps & Turns technician, and integration of the psychology of dance. With a Bachelor of Science degree Major in Dance from Lamar University, complemented by an Associates of Arts Degree in Dance, and a Texas Teacher Certification in Dance for public school grades 6-12, my academic and professional credentials weave a rich tapestry of dedication to the art and education of dance. For over 23 years, I have poured my heart into teaching and choreographing, nurturing the next generation of dancers in studios, competition teams, companies, and schools of all ages and levels.
My artistic journey is marked by performances and teachings in multiple places around the United States, including the Kennedy Center, Chicago, Washington D.C., California, and New York. Blessed with the opportunity to train and tour with The Modern New Dance Ensemble Company - I’ve not only showcased my passion for dance but have also been honored to teach as an undergraduate for ACDFA and choreograph for ACTFA. My personal achievements reflect my commitment to excellence and education in dance, having been recognized as a scholarship recipient, student of the year, and many choreography awards during my formative years.
Today, my mission unfolds in the Houston area, where I dedicate myself to teaching classes, private lessons, master classes, choreographing, judging and instructing at dance intensives. Through my diverse background and experiences, I aim to inspire others to find their rhythm, to explore the vast landscapes of creativity that lie within them, and to use dance as a medium of communication, self-expression, and joy. Dance is not just my profession; it is my way of life, a universal language of connection I am passionate about sharing with the world.
Laurie Belcher Boren
Laurie Boren retired in 2020 from teaching dance in public high school after loving it for 29 years. She spent her years in public education directing and teaching dance at Friendswood High School, Clear Brook High School, and Deer Park High School. Laurie not only has taught dance team but has choreographed many musicals and works with several junior high and high school choir programs. Her favorite styles of dance are Musical Theater, Novelty, and lyrical, but building a dancer's technique and cleaning dances is what she loves most. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and also spent several seasons dancing with Houston Grand Opera.
Laurie is excited to team up with Mandy again for this dance program. Mandy was a student of Laurie's and now Laurie's daughters Abigail and Jacey are students of Mandy. She also worked along-side Mandy at STEPS Performing Arts Center and with No Boundaries Dance Company. Technique, polish and performance quality are Laurie's passion. The growth of a dancer in her craft is what she loves to be a part of. Since retirement, Laurie has enjoyed private lesson instruction and designing and working with costumes.
Laurie and her husband Jimi live in Deer Park. Their blended and extended family includes, son Corey and his wife Haley, daughter Kaylee and her husband Tyler, daughters Kassidy, Abigail, Jacey and one very spoiled dog Dakota.
Brigitte LaBarrett Geary
Brigitte LaBarrett Geary is originally from Allentown, PA, training and dancing with Joffrey Ballet School, First State Ballet Theater, Ballet Austin, Ballet Manila, Joffrey Ballet, Suzanne Farrell Ballet and The Rock School of Pennsylvania Ballet. She had the opportunity to train closely under the late Gerald Arpino, Victor Wesley and John Magnus, along with Konstantin Kolotov, Christopher Fleming, Pasha Kambalov, and Suzanne Farrell.
After dancing with the Trainee company with Joffrey Ballet School and training for her teaching certification, Brigitte has gone on to teach at professional schools around the country, focusing on injury prevention, utilizing Cechetti, Joffrey and Vaganova methods. Brigitte has performed in many classical, neoclassical and Latin based works, as well as musical theater and off Broadway productions. Brigitte is an alumni of St. John's University in Queens, NY, studying in Business Law & Kinesiology. She is also a trained Barre and Spin instructor, along with certifications in Pilates, Progressive Ballet Technique, Nutrition and Personal Training.
As a former Studio Owner of CSQUARED, the Classical & Contemporary Movement Project, she now calls Dance Dynamics home and continues to teach across Texas. Brigitte focuses on giving her students an appreciation for technique and artistry, along with encouraging diversity and passion for all genres of dance. She also specializes in cross training, injury prevention and rehabilitation exercises for dancers. Her students have gone on to dance professionally around the world in ballet and dance companies, receiving scholarships to esteemed training programs, college dance programs and conservatories, as well as Collegiate and professional dance teams. Brigitte instructs Ballet, Pre Pointe & Pointe training, Strength and Conditioning, Jazz, Leaps & Turns, as well as consulting and mentoring in dance post high school pathways, cross training for dance and nutrition, continuing her goal of creating longevity and diversity in dancer education.
Berlynn Gonzalez
Berlynn Gonzalez is a dedicated and accomplished dancer currently on the Ohio State Dance Team, where she has earned four national championships and two world championships. She began dancing at the age of 10 and trained at the Orange County Performing Arts Academy, where she developed her technique across a variety of styles. Known for her strong work ethic and love for performing, Berlynn continues to grow as both an athlete and artist, inspiring others through her passion and dedication.
Matthew Kubitz
Matthew Kubitz was born and raised in San Diego, CA, trained in all styles, and was part of Tessandra Chavez’s apprentice company, Unity Dance Ensemble. He continued his education at Chapman University, earning a BFA in Dance. Matthew has an extensive career in the commercial dance industry, with credits including Euphoria (HBO), Mean Girls, Family Leave (Netflix), and a 1st runner-up finish on World of Dance Season 3 with Unity LA. He has danced for artists including Carly Rae Jepsen, Doechii, SIA, and Derek and Julianne Hough. He has assisted Tessandra on many jobs ranging from Disney Holiday Specials, multiple music videos, and the University of Minnesota and Weber State Dance Team 2025 routines. He also worked as an assistant choreographer to Kayla Radomski and Tucker Barkley on the Masked Singer.
Kamri Peterson
Kamri Peterson is a talented and dedicated dancer and teacher with a standout career in both ballroom and competitive dance. She was recognized as a Top 10 Dancer at The Dance Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry. Kamri is a National Vice Champion in the United States Latin Preteen and Junior divisions, and has continued to excel as a National Finalist in the highly competitive Under 21 and Youth categories.
Her passion and skill have taken her across the globe—Kamri proudly represented the United States at the World Championships in Paris, showcasing her talent on the international stage. She also holds the title of World Champion at the Pro-Am Latin Championships.
She was a Junior Pro on the inaugural season of Dancing With The Stars Juniors, and has performed on the hit show Dancing With The Stars.
Kamri brings a unique blend of high-level competitive experience, artistry, and youthful energy to her teaching. She’s dedicated to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of dancers with the same passion that has driven her own success.
